AKTIVITI PENDIDIKAN MORAL (7MEI 2011)

Aktiviti murid pendidikan moral ni diadakan semasa hari Sabtu. Semua murid cina, india dan sikh sahaja yang menyertai aktiviti ni. Panitia P.Moral mengadakan pertandingan membuat kollom. Kollom ni hanya biasa kita nampak semasa perayaan Deepavalli sahaja. Setiap murid dimasukkan dalam 11 kumpulan dan diberi corak kollom yang sama. Mereka hanya perlu menyusun beras berwarna dengan kreatif dan kemas. Best juga tengok murid2 ni bersungguh-sungguh menjalankan aktiviti. Nilai moral yang diterap semasa aktiviti : kerjasama, kepimpinan, bertolak ansur, sabar, kreatif dan berdisiplin. Sebanyak 3 pemenang hamper utama dipilih dan 3 lagi saguhati.

" Workers have been reluctant to talk to the media about what they are experiencing, but one who spent several days at the plant described difficult conditions in an anonymous interview published Saturday in the national Mainichi newspaper.

When he was called in mid-March to help restore power at the plant, he said he did not tell his family because he did not want them to worry. But he did tell a friend to notify his parents if he did not return in two weeks.

"I feel very strongly that there is nobody but us to do this job, and we cannot go home until we finish the work," he said.

Early on, the company ran out of full radiation suits, forcing workers to create improvised versions of items such as nylon booties they were supposed to pull over their shoes.

"But we only put something like plastic garbage bags you can buy at a convenience store and sealed them with masking tape," he said.

He said the tsunami littered the area around the plant with dead fish and sharks, and the quake opened holes in the ground that tripped up some workers who could not see through large gas masks. They had to yell at one another to be heard through the masks.

"It's hard to move while wearing a gas mask," he said. "While working, the gas mask came off several times. Maybe I must have inhaled much radiation."

Radiation is also a concern for people living around the plant. In the city of Koriyama, Tadashi and Ritsuko Yanai and their 1-month-old baby have spent the past three weeks in a sports arena converted into a shelter. Baby Kaon, born a week before the quake, has grown accustomed to life there, including frequent radiation screenings, but his parents have not. Their home is fine, but they had to leave because it is six miles from the nuclear plant.

Asked if he had anything he would like to say to the prime minister, the 32-year-old father paused to think and then replied: "We want to go home. That's all, we just want to go home."

In Natori, where about 1,700 people are living in shelters, others had stronger words for Kan. Toru Sato, 57, lost both his wife and his house in the tsunami and said he was bothered that Kan's visit to the quake zone was so brief -- about a half day.

"He's just showing up for an appearance," Sato said. "He should spend time to talk to various people, and listen to what they need."

Cameron Highlands is the largest hill resort in Malaysia located at the northwestern edge of Pahang state, at an altitude of 6,001ft (1,829m) above sea-level. Cameron Highlands was named after the surveyor, William Cameron, who in 1885 discovered a plateau at 4,500 feet. At such a height the area enjoys a cool climate, with temperatures not higher than 20 'C and rarely falling below 10'C It was then recommended as a resort but it was not until 1925 that the present location was proposed as a hill resort, and developed.

Cameron Highlands is also popularly known as the "Green Bowl" of the country as it supplies large amount of local produce of vegetables to many major cities of Malaysia and Singapore. Tea and strawberries are also grown on the terraced slopes of the Cameron Highlands, and the area possesses notable rose gardens as well.

Cameron Highlands consists of a series of little townships which include Ringlet, Tanah Rata, and Brinchang. The best tourist amenities are sited in or around Tanah Rata but Brinchang is fast catching up with a number of new apartments and restaurants.

Bharat Tea

Bharat is the second largest tea producer in Cameron Highlands, with plantations in Tanah Rata and Tringkap, and their own signature brand 'Cameron Valley' to compete with rival Boh. Its largest tea estate lies along the main road 4km before Tanah Rata, or about 6km after Ringlet town. Lacking a visitor complex and show factory for tourists, Bharat concentrates instead on establishing tea houses (with cafes and shops), while welcoming visitors to walk and explore their tea fields with gazetted sections and pathways.

Agro Technology Park in MARDI - Tanah Rata

The Agrotech Park is only 1km away from the town of Tanah Rata and easily reaches by car, taxi, bus or even by foot. Among the major attractions are the English Garden, strawberry production, vegetable and cut flower production, green house research and the sale centre.The agrotechnology park is divided into six main areas: the English Garden, Herb Garden, Orchid Garden, Rose Garden, research centre and an information centre, where tourists can also buy souvenirs. Mardi's Agrotechnology Park is home to 40 varieties of roses, 10 strawberries, 100 citrus fruits, at least six types of anthuriums, four varieties of apples, and pears and persimmons.

Shopping Market, Brincang

Kea Farm is one of most popular shopping destinations in Cameron Highlands, located 3km after Brinchang town. While mostly an agricultural district, the center of activity lies in a day market next to the main road, just before Equatorial Resort. Every morning till evening, traders and farmers sell their crops here to visitors and locals alike. Flowers, ornamental plants, souvenirs and handicrafts are other products sold in the market besides fruits and vegetables. On holiday weekends and national festivals, the road that leads past Kea Farm Market may be cluttered with cars parked (or parking) along the sides, causing a massive jam that stretches all the way to town.

Brincang Pasar malam

The Brinchang Night Market is a popular shopping attraction among visitors that occurs every Friday and Saturday in town, starting from 4pm and ending late night. The night market occupies two tarmac clearings facing the police station near Star Regency Hotel; both sites are just across from each other, but divided by the main road that to Kea Farm. This evening bazaar consists of stalls that retail the best products from Cameron Highlands, including strawberries, vegetables, flowers, plants and souvenirs for tourists. It's also an excellent place to go food hunting, with many hawker stalls that cook up local favourites and even continental snacks, such as fondue.

Strawberry Farm

Strawberry farms are immensely popular attractions at Cameron Highlands, as visitors are fascinated with the idea of dainty fruits of temperate origin growing on local soil. The cold climate makes it suitable for cultivating strawberries all-year-round; some of the harvest ends up at supermarkets and grocers across Malaysia and Singapore, but much is snatched up by tourists. You can find many strawberry farms around Tanah Rata, Brinchang and Kea Farm, but a minimum purchase is often required (conveyed by self-plucking) to see the actual farm. Consequently, growing strawberries is one of Cameron highland's most important economic sources and activities.

CUTI SEMESTER (16 MAC 2011)

Memang tak sabar-sabar nak tunggu cuti ni. Bukan sebab nak holiday ke mana-mana, tapi sebab terlalu banyak tugasan di sekolah, rasa penat melampau. Minggu lepas, datang jer kat sekolah, dari pukul 7.00pagi hingga 1 petang, mengajar dan buat tugas2 khas lain (non stop) sampai tak sempat pergi makan. Petang pulak menanda buku atau kelas nadi sampai pukul 4.00petang. Buat adik2 yang jadi guru baru bawah panitia BM saya, Adam dan Siti Rahimah, k. as minta maaf sebab tak dapat bimbing korang selalu untuk subjek BM. Kalau nak tanya apa2, jangan tunggu k.as free....(sebab takde free pun..he..he..) datang jer bila2 masa. k.as akan bantu, ok.

Inilah cabarannya, kalau bekerja sambil belajar. Saya mesti habiskan kerja di sekolah dan tak boleh bawa balik kerana balik rumah nanti nak buat tugasan belajar pula. Wow, kalau fikir2kan tak sangka saya mampu lakukannya. Tahap 'stress' saya minggu lepas mungkin dah capai tahap maximum. Sorrylah kepada kawan2 kalau saya tak sempat nak bersembang atau keluar kemana-mana bersama. Ini tahun akhir saya, i hope i can complete it with flying colours. wish me luck!!

Master Pengurusan dan Pentadbiran Pendidikan

Mesti ada yang cari tajuk Master Pengurusan Pentadbiran Pendidikan ini dan dapati tiada info tentang tajuk kat sini. Saya dan dua orang rakan saya kat atas tu telah pun selesai menghabiskan course kami selama 4 semester di UPM Serdang pada bulan Disember 2011.

Jurusan yang kami ambil ialah MPPP (Master Pendidikan (Pentadbiran Pendidikan))without thesis. Saya mengikuti MPPP tanpa tesis untuk mendapatkan ilmu dan lebih mendalami tentang pentadbiran pendidikan memandangkan saya merupakan lepasan KPLI dan sangat cetek pengetahuan tentang pentadbiran dalam bidang pendidikan. Kursus kami merupakan kursus PJJ (Pendidikan Jarak Jauh) dan kelas yang kami ikuti diadakan setiap hari Sabtu dari pukul 8.00 pagi hingga 7.00 malam. Jadi, setiap hari Sabtu kami berkuliah di Dewan Kuliah Pusat di UPM.

Pengalaman bekerja sambil belajar memang memenatkan dan memerlukan komitmen yang tinggi. Jika ingin mencuba dan melanjutkan pelajaran lagi, perlu fikir betul-betul sama ada sanggup berkorban atau tidak.

Tahniah kepada semua rakan sekelas yang telah berjaya lulus dalam CE (Comprehensive Test) dan melayakkkan kita bergraduasi. Jumpa lagi semasa konvokesyen tahun 2012 nanti...

THE LAST SONG

Nicholas Sparks merupakan salah seorang penulis buku yang saya suka. Ini buku kelima karya beliau yang saya dah baca selain Message in a bottle, A bent in the road, A walk to remember dan Dear John. Selain The last song, Message in a bottle dan A walk to remember telah dijadikan filem. Setelah membaca buku dan menonton filem cerita ini, saya dapati walaupun jalan ceritanya sama, namun banyak plot dan tempat diubah suai dalam filem ni dan tak sama dengan keadaan yang dinyatakan dalam buku. Walaupun kedua-duanya best, namun saya lebih prefer baca bukunya kerana lebih detail dan menarik. Di bawah ni, saya sertakan ringkasan ceritanya. Walaupun banyak perkara tak dapat dinyatakan di sini, namun boleh memberi gambaran tentang buku ni. Jika nak tahu lebih lanjut, baca dan tonton sendiri...

Ringkasan cerita:

The last song mengisahkan tentang seorang remaja perempuan berumur 17 tahun bernama Ronnie daripada sebuah keluarga yang telah berpisah. Ronnie, adik lelakinya Jonah dan ibunya tinggal di Manhattan. Dia menyalahkan bapanya kerana bercerai dengan ibunya semata-mata ingin mengejar kerjaya sebagai seorang pemuzik. Ronnie telah meninggalkan bakat dan minatnya sebagai pemain piano kerana bencikan bapanya. Namun, pada suatu cuti musim panas, ibunya telah menghantar Ronnie dan adiknya supaya menghabiskan cuti bersama bapa mereka di Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.

Ronnie memberontak dan tidak melayan bapanya dengan baik. Dia menolak sikap baik bapanya dan kerap melawan kata bapanya sepanjang dia di situ. Namun, bapanya bersabar dengan karenahnya. Ronnie bergaul dengan budak nakal dan terlibat dengan perkara yang tidak elok.

Dipendekkan cerita, akhirnya Ronnie mendapat tahu bahawa bapanya menghidap penyakit kanser perut dan kansernya telah merebak ke bahagian paru-paru dan pankreas. Bapanya ingin menghabiskan saat-saat terakhir hidupnya bersama anak-anaknya. Ronnie juga menyesal kerana mendapat tahu bahawa perceraian mereka adalah berpunca daripada ibunya. Akhirnya Ronnie mengambil keputusan untuk menjaga bapanya hinggalah dia menghembuskan nafas terakhirnya di rumah mereka yang terletak di tepi pantai. Sebelum bapanya meninggal dunia, Ronnie telah membantu ayahnya menyiapkan sebuah lagu yang sedang digubahnya semasa beliau sedang sakit.

Setelah bapanya meninggal dunia, Ronnie telah membuat keputusan untuk menerima tawaran belajar di Juilliard (Music School). Musim panas yang dihabiskan oleh Ronnie (Veronica) di Wrightsville Beach itu memberi kesedaran kepadanya tentang cinta, keluarga dan masa depan....
